Eye Inflammation Responds to Acupuncture Therapy

Using laser-powered instrumentation, a small University of Vienna study provided support for the use of acupuncture to reduced the pain and inflammation of uveitis, an uncomfortable swelling of the eye. All participants also noted an increase in visual acuity. A summary of the study can be read here:
The pain and inflammation of uveitis are much reduced by acupuncture, according to a small study.
Uveitis is an inflammation of the uvea, one of the layers of tissue within the eye. It causes pain, blurred vision and, left untreated, may even lead to blindness.
